You are responsible for providing The Design Mile with a COPY or IMAGE of your artwork for web site formatting and display. The Design Mile will not accept original works of art. The Design Mile will not be held responsible for any damage to or destruction of submitted copies or images.
Copies and images of your artwork will only be accepted in one of the following formats: (1) on a 3 ½” diskette, Zip disk or via e-mail in IBM or Mac format, a .gif or .jpeg (JPEG) file type, (2) slides [standard size], (3) photos or other scannable images [not to exceed 8” x 14”]. A $5 fee will be charged for artwork submitted in photograph or slide format that The Design Mile must scan.
The Design Mile reserves the right to crop or resize the copy or image in order to conform it to our database format requirements. If this is done, The Design Mile will endeavor to present the best image of your artwork, given the materials you have submitted.
The Design Mile will return copies and images of your artwork only at your request. Please provide us with a self-addressed stamped envelope of the correct size.
Once registered completely, please mail us a copy of your artwork to the address listed below. Appropriate artwork formats are photographs (no larger then 8 X 14), CD, Slide, or JPEG. Image files should be scanned at 300 dpi, no smaller than 400 pixels in either width or height. Label each art item image with the registered page and item number.
You will not be charged until we receive the pictures of your artwork and have processed them to be included in our picture database. This process may take up to 3 weeks (peak times) to complete from the time we receive your pictures. You will not be charged until your artwork is activated on The Design Mile.
